Chantecaille beauté: the ultimate in luxury skincare

It’s getting cold up here!. That means major dry skin season for me. Started making Sunday mornings home spa days and I’ve been on the hunt for some major skin RX and happy to report back on this particular regime from Chantecaille because of its incredible impact on my skin!. First step was the jasmine and lily healing mask. This baby is 94% natural and you’re supposed to leave it on for 5 minutes . I combined 3 drops of the Chantecaille Rose de Mai face oil to pack an…

Scarlettesse on the go: staycation at the Hotel Bonaventure

There’s a lot to be said about taking the time every now and then to just breathe. With the everyday grind, it’s easy to forget that a break can also be an Uber ride away. We were extra lucky to stay at the modernist hotel Bonaventure this fall (we even caught the last days of the Indian summer here) and what a surprise this gorgeous hotel was!!. It’s conveniently located on top of Place Bonaventure, a few minutes away from the major shopping malls of downtown Montreal. We immediately fell in…

Fergie footwear & the casual bootie

I’ve always enjoyed a sexy boot for as long as I can remember. Sufficient to say that when I got the chance to work with Fergie footwear, the new shoeline of pop queen Fergie, I knew that this would be a match made in shoe heaven. The shoe I chose to feature first is Fergie’s favorite boot, the Elis cowboy boot. This studded ankle bootie (black suede with metallic studs) is so versatile, you can even wear it out at night like I did below. Shop their sale at Fergie footwear (with the…

Fall layers: tackling the frigid weather

Winter is here and I can honestly say that part of me is excited (certainly not for the frigid temps we have come to expect here in Montreal); excited for the winter styled looks and the layers!. Yes freezing can be fun too. Any layered  faux fur piece will make your make your coat or jacket an instant star. So pile up the layers; this season it’s so chic to be warm. I styled this trend with a basic tee, skinny jeans and my fave biker jacket.

Balmain fever is here!!!.  Rarely do I look forward to a collab as much as I did to this one. The highly anticipated L’Oreal x Balmain 12 shades lipstick capsule has finally arrived in a flurry of excitement and it doesn’t disappoint. In fact, the capsule collection is every bit as sleek as Rousteing. Nice smooth l’Oreal textures, gorgeous marble packaging with gold Balmain logo and a range of shades from the easy to wear nude to the electric purple hue of the Freedom shade; it caters to every woman.…

Sunday brunch at le Kube: tried & true

Okay, YES I’m a big brunch fan so when it comes to local places to try I like to think that I’ve seen it all. Well, I’m the first to admit that in this case, let’s just say that I was dead wrong. Located on site  next to the lobby of the hotel Bonaventure, le Kube was a pleasant surprise. A modern spaceThe food was outstanding; the presentation exquisite. The menu, with fresh ingredients is tailored for those with discerning taste.  I highly recommend the starter dishes: the salmon tartare with…

Gala beauté at the Bay

The Bay downtown had it’s annual Beauty Gala on Thursday with proceeds to support women with cancer. I love this event as you can get a complimentary makeover at any of the cosmetics counters from Chanel to MAC. Make up heaven! You also get free skin consultations. The Bay does carry brands not found at Sephora so it feels different. They served a delicious light lunch, had canapés, macaroons and a D.J on hand. The concept is fun and you get to participate in draws for a chance to win your…
